Woman killed in Scarborough rollover

A woman in her 50s was killed after her vehicle rolled over in Scarborough on Wednesday afternoon.

Toronto Police say the deadly crash occurred near McCowan Rd. and Alton Towers Circle — south of Steeles Ave. E. — just after 2 p.m.

The woman was rushed to hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Elsewhere, a man in his 40s was found stabbed and critically injured in the Dundas Square area on Wednesday.

Toronto Police were called at about 5:42 p.m. for a stabbing in the area of Dundas and Yonge Sts.

Upon arrival, cops found a man suffering from a stab wound.

Toronto Paramedic Services were on scene and traffic and streetcars were affected.

In a separate incident, police responded at about 4:32 p.m. to reports of a shooting in the area of Progress Ave. and Markham Rd. in Scarborough.

Police said a man in his 30s was found with a gunshot wound and was transported to hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.
