Former Hollywood madam Heidi Fleiss is leaving Las Vegas after her five-year-old Macaw parrot named Chuey was shot around Christmas Eve, according to the New York Daily News .
The 56-year-old, who was once linked to such celeb clients as Charlie Sheen, told the Pahrump Valley Times she noticed Chuey was hobbling around during Christmas but couldn’t get into a vet due to the holiday weekend.
When she did, the doctor told her the bird had been shot and would require a “horrible surgery” to repair its broken leg.
“I want to castrate him, I want them to get the death penalty for shooting my little Chuey, who was just flying around doing nothing — and they shoot her,” Fleiss told the Pahrump Valley Times .
“I want them to have the death penalty because everyone in the subdivision knows her and they love her.”
For the past 15 years, Fleiss and her exotic birds have lived on a 40-acre bird sanctuary in Pahrump, Nev., which is 60 miles west of Las Vegas.
She now says she’s moving next month to the Ozarks, where she’s bought 50 acres in Missouri, for the safety of her birds.
Fleiss also says sometime in the past month someone’s “pet bobcat” got onto her Las Vegas-area property and there was, what she called, a “massacre.”
