Hamilton police arrest ‘serial armed robbery suspect,’ lay 46 charges

Hamilton police have arrested a “serial armed robbery suspect” and laid 46 charges against a man allegedly involved in four armed robberies on Hamilton Mountain.

This past week, police appealed for help to identify this suspect and on Thursday they were called to a business in the area of Upper Ottawa St. and Mohawk Rd., E. where there was an armed robbery taking place.

Police managed to arrest the suspect, who was allegedly involved in an additional three robberies in the past week.

Police executed a search warrant after the arrest.

Jesus Miro, 25, of Hamilton has been charged with robbery with firearm, two counts of robbery, three counts of robbery with intent to steal, four counts of disguise with intent, four counts of point a firearm, three counts of use imitation firearm, three counts of carry a concealed weapon, reckless discharge of a firearm, two counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm, and unsafe transport of a firearm.
