Canada-wide warrant out for second suspect in fatal Scarborough nightclub shooting

A Canada-wide arrest warrant has been issued for a second suspect in connection with a deadly shooting in a Scarborough nightclub last month.

Demetrius McFarquhar, 28, is wanted for second-degree murder.

Mohamed Asser, 23, was shot to death on Dec. 13 just before 4 a.m. in a strip plaza near McCowan Rd. and Nugget Ave.

Days later, police arrested 32-year-old Jonathan Hill, of Toronto, charging him with second-degree murder.

Police are asking for the public’s help locating McFarquhar, who is considered armed and dangerous.
