What’s open, what’s closed in Toronto on New Year’s Day

Happy new year!

The Toronto Sun will not publish a print edition on Jan. 1.

Here’s what is open and closed on the first day of 2022:

CLOSED

The Beer Sore and LCBO — both will reopen Sunday.

Most major grocery chains.

Banks.

Canada Post.

Government offices.

Libraries.

OPEN

Some attractions including the Toronto Zoo, Ontario Place, CN Tower, Royal Ontario Museum, Art Gallery of Ontario and select movie theatres.

The TTC will operate on a Sunday schedule.

GO Transit will run on the holiday schedule.
