Hamilton man, 24, shot to death in driveway of Mountain home

A 24-year-old Hamilton man was shot to death late Tuesday in what appears to be a targeted execution.

Cops say that officers were called to the area of Upper Wentworth St. and Mohawk Rd. on the Mountain around 9:30 p.m. for reports of shots fired.

On Darcy Ct., police found a male laying in his driveway suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to hospital, where he died a short time later.

The victim was later identified as Sheydon Storer.

He is the city’s 19th homicide of 2021, which breaks last year’s record for murders.

Homicide detectives have a clearance rate in the high 80% mark.

At this time, investigators continue to search for suspects or vehicle descriptions. There will be a heavy police presence in the area as the forensics team processes the scene and police canvass the neighbourhood for witnesses and video.
