The new study of localized internet searches of insurance problems claims the tiny terrors dominate Toronto’s pest control worries, with an average of 1,300 monthly searches.

That was followed by rats based on 880 searches, and cockroaches coming third with 720 searches.

That breakdown matches the top three of Canada’s national average in the study.

Other Canadian cities with bedbugs in the top spot include Montreal, Ottawa, Edmonton, Mississauga and Brampton.

Calgary, Vancouver and Surrey all ranked ants as the number one pest, while Victoria, Kitchener, Markham and Quebec City appeared to be most concerned with rats.
