A man is sought for a frightening incident that saw two teenage girls sexually assaulted at a TTC station in North York Friday night.
Toronto Police say the girls, both 17, were in a bus bay at Finch Subway Station – located at Yong St. and Finch Ave. – when they were attacked around 10 p.m.
“They were approached from behind by a man,” Det. Corey Jones, of 32 Division, said in a statement released Saturday. “He sexually assaulted both women.”
Jones said the unidentified man continued to “pursue” one of girls as she fled outside to the bus platform to seek help.
“A TTC employee came to assist,” Jones said, adding the attacker ran back inside the subway station.
Police have released a security camera image of a suspect hoping the public can help identify him.
He’s described as having a light complexion, about 5-foot-10, with a medium build, thick chin-length brown dreadlocks, a full beard, and missing at least one tooth. He was wearing white high-top basketball shoes, dark blue jeans worn below his buttocks, black long-johns, and a white hooded zip-up sweatshirt with a grey pattern on the chest.
Investigators believe the man is “violent and dangerous” and are urging anyone with information regarding his identity or whereabouts to call police at 416-808-3200 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
