A hapless motorist got stuck Wednesday evening after accidentally turning onto the right-of-way for the still-under-construction Eglinton Crosstown LRT near Leslie St.

Video posted on Twitter shows the four-door Ford sedan high-centred on one of the rails, fighting a losing battle to reverse its way out of its predicament.

A second tweet by Metrolinx spokesperson Anne Marie Aikins shows the same car being carefully extricated by towing crews, and slowly winched onto the rear of a flatbed tow truck.

“Just another reminder to please be mindful that LRTs are out testing on live tracks along Eglinton,” Aikins wrote.

“Don’t drive on tracks like this guy did last night at Leslie.”
