Whitby man charged in credit card fraud

A Whitby man is accused of obtaining $350,000 in merchandise using a fraudulent credit card.

Durham Regional Police say between May and September 2021 a fraudulent business card was used to buy online items.

Police located the suspect and with a search warrant entered a Whitby home and arrest a man and seized the merchandise.

Ryan Singh, 40, of Gartshore Dr. in Whitby, has been charged with fraud over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime and unauthorized use of credit card data.
