Too bad it wasn’t no soup for you.
A woman went berserk on a worker at a Mexican restaurant in Texas because the container she was given melted.
The woman threw a bowl of spicy soup in the face of Sol De Jalisco manager Jannelle Broland, according to KCEN-TV .
A clip of the incident went viral.
Police said the assailant had complained about the soup melting the plastic lid before coming to the restaurant.
Broland told TMZ that she apologized to the customer and offered a full refund or another item from the menu — but said the woman went off when she couldn’t escalate her complaint.
“My first thought was, ‘What just happened? Why, like why is this happening?’ and I realized I couldn’t open my eyes and I wiped away and I realized I was like, ‘Wow, she really just, she threw that at me,’” Broland said.
The manager, who shared her experience on TikTok, said the soup was not hot anymore, but that her eyes stung from the spices.
“I remember feeling the warmth of the soup, but my eyes burned so bad. My nose was burning. It kind of, kind of took my breath away for a second because just the burning, I was really in shock from it all,” Broland said.
Police said criminal charges are pending against the woman who threw the soup and she has been banned from the restaurant.
“We do not condone this type of behaviour and hold our citizens to the highest standard,” Deputy Police Chief Allen Teston told KCEN. “If a citizen believes they have received poor service, we advise them to remain civil until the problem is resolved.”
