Video footage released as Toronto cops aim to identify streetcar stabbing suspect

Investigators have released security video footage in their pursuit of identifying a suspect in a stabbing on board a TTC streetcar in September.

Toronto Police were called to a stabbing in the area of Spadina Ave. and Willcocks St. on Sept. 9 at 10:48 a.m.

Cops say two men were involved in a verbal altercation on the northbound Spadina streetcar when one of them stabbed the other man multiple times.

The wanted man was last seen walking southbound along Spadina.

The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect, who cops believe is armed and dangerous, is described as 5-foot-8 with short brown hair and glasses. He was wearing a light-coloured shirt with a black collar, dark jacket with hood, dark pants and dark shoes.

Police advise to not approach him and to and call 9-1-1 if spotted.
