Cops seized an assortment of edibles in illegal packaging — starkly similar to various well-known candy products — when they raided an unlicensed cannabis dispensary in North York Friday night.
Toronto Police say a search warrant was executed at the business near Alness St. and Finch Ave. W. –west of Dufferin St. – around 7 p.m.
“(Officers seized) a quantity of cannabis products that were packaged and labelled to replicate mainstream candy products for public consumption,” Constable
Alex Li said in a statement released Saturday. “The products could be harmful if ingested, especially to children.”
“Police would like to remind adults to keep any cannabis products safely stored away from children,” he added.
