The OPP are disappointed that onlookers recorded video of two teens in a vehicle after it crashed into a tree and burst into flames north of Barrie early Sunday.

The single vehicle crash occurred around 4 a.m. at County Rd. 27 and Horseshoe Valley Rd. in Springwater.

OPP Const. Liz Newton said one of the teen’s fathers found video of the vehicle blaze and there are several more on social media.

“It is disappointing in terms of this collision that no one assisted,” she said. “In one video you can see the police car pulling up.”

The teens managed to get themselves out of the burning vehicle.

We apologize, but this video has failed to load.

They were taken to a trauma centre with serious injuries but were not burnt.

“I can’t image getting myself out of that situation,” Newton said.

No charges have been filed against the gawkers.

“It’s not against the law,” Newton said. “You can’t force people to help others.”
