Two victims identified in fatal Toronto shootings

The names of two victims caught in the deadly crosshairs of violence in Toronto on the weekend have been released.

Four men were killed and four others injured in separate incidents this past weekend, including a cab driver in Scarborough.

Toronto Police on Monday night said Christopher Jung, 73, of Toronto, has been identified as the victim in a fatal shooting in the area of Pharmacy Ave. and Eglinton Ave. E. on Sunday night.

Jung, a cab driver, was found unconscious and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He later died in hospital.

A man wearing dark clothing was seen running from the area.

A shooting happened in the area of Weston Rd. and Hwy. 401 — in the Crossroads Centre area. It’s one of several separate shootings on the weekend — and one of four that proved fatal.

The victim was located in a car, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators are looking for witnesses as well as dashcam or video surveillance.
