Couple killed by vehicle two days after getting married

A newlywed couple didn’t even get any time to enjoy their nuptials.

Two days after getting married, Jessiah Plemons, 31, and Lily Rose, 25, were killed, along with 23-year-old Madison Davis in Knoxville, Tenn.

Early Sunday, the trio exited their car and were hit and killed by another vehicle, according to police.

The preliminary investigation said it is believed Plemons, Rose and Davis were traveling on a highway exit ramp when their vehicle “left the roadway and struck a guardrail.

“The three occupants exited the vehicle and were standing next to it when a Chevrolet pickup struck the Dodge and its three occupants. All three were pronounced dead at the scene,” police said.

The crash is still being investigated.

The driver who hit the victims was taken to hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Plemons’ mother Michelle, who told ABC she thought they were on their way home from celebrating, said receiving the tragic news was a “nightmare.”
