Police ID man shot dead in North York plaza

The deadly shooting is the city’s 65th homicide of the year

A 27-year-old man was man gunned down in a North York plaza early Saturday.

Toronto Police officers responded to reports of a shooting in the plaza at Keele St. and Dovehouse Ave., just north of Sheppard Ave. W., around 1:45 a.m. and found a man inside a vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The dead man has since been identified as Randy Nguyen.

The Cambridge man is the city’s 65th homicide victim of the year and the 32nd killed by gunfire.
