The Lexington County Sheriff’s Office was contacted Sept. 23 about a student at Rocky Creek Elementary School student picking out a package of edibles from a box full of candy used by teacher Victoria Weiss to reward students, Sheriff Jay Koon alleged in a news release .

Weiss allegedly took the pack away from the student and told him to pick another prize.

He did just that and, according to Koon, “happened to grab another pack of edibles.”

No edibles were ingested by any of the students, he added.
