Two seniors are dead and three others are injured following a multi-vehicle crash in Toronto’s west end Tuesday night.

Toronto Police say five people were involved in the crash that happened near Spring Rd. and Parkside Dr. in the Roncesvalles area.

A 71-year-old man succumbed to his injuries shortly after the crash, while a 69-year-old woman was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries and died a short time later.

In addition to the fatalities, a man is in serious condition.

Two others suffered minor injuries, according to police.

Roads were closed in the area as police investigated.

Elsewhere on Tuesday night, an elderly woman was critically injured when she was struck by a bus.

Police responded to the area of Duplex Ave. and Lawrence Ave. W. for reports an elderly woman as struck by a TTC bus.

The victim was rushed to hospital in life-threatening condition.

Traffic Services is investigating.
