Suspect sought in downtown T.O. stabbing

Police are looking for witnesses to help identify a suspect after a man was stabbed in downtown Toronto in the early hours of Sunday.

Toronto Police responded to a call for a stabbing in the area of Yonge St. and Front St. at 1:30 a.m. It’s reported that a man approached a group of people and proceeded to stab a man.

The suspect fled eastbound on Front St. E. and then, possibly, north onto Scott St.

The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect is described as 5-foot-10 with a medium build, about 30 years old, with black, curly hair and a scruffy beard. He was last seen wearing bagging clothing, carrying a knapsack, construction harness and a vest.
