Denise and Paul Reeves of Mount Albert did just that playing the Lotto 6/49 in the Aug. 28 draw.

“At first, I noticed I matched three numbers, then four. Next thing I knew, I had six,” Denise said.

“I went back to the website to see what I won and was shocked.”

She then texted her husband to tell him she won.

“He tried to remain level-headed so he wouldn’t be disappointed if it wasn’t real,” she said.

Paul says the money all belongs to his wife.

“I have some special people and causes in my life and I’m excited to share some of this win with them. And we’ll put some aside for a well-deserved vacation when it’s safe,” he said.
