Leo Malette, 76, admits he’s a regular lottery player who always adds Encore to his games — and with good reason.

“I won $100,000 on Encore years ago,” he shared while picking up his winnings at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto.

The city councilor for West Nipissing checked his lottery tickets online and soon realized he won an even bigger jackpot.

We apologize, but this video has failed to load.

“I didn’t believe it was real,” recalled Malette. “I waited about an hour for my wife to wake up so I could tell her the good news. I started calling the kids and they were so shocked and happy for us!”

Malette plans to buy himself a new car, then intends to share the rest of his winnings with the three generations of his family.
