Nataijah Stephens says her brother, Conroy Tashon Stephens, was his kids’ “superman” and always put them first.
Now, she says, “he is never going to be able to walk, talk or see his babies again because a coward took his life from him.”
Nataijah’s words are shared on a GoFundMe page she created for her brother, who she says was the victim of a deadly fight in Mississauga on Saturday morning.
Peel Regional Police say officers responded to an “altercation” between two men at a home on Glen Erin Dr., near Britannia Rd., around 10:45 a.m.
“During this altercation, the victim, a 34-year-old man from Mississauga, suffered life-threatening injuries,” police said in a statement released Saturday. “Despite first responders’ attempts to render aid, the victim died due to the injuries he sustained.”
Investigators arrested a 21-year-old Mississauga man and charged him with second-degree murder.
“This investigation is still in its early stages,” police said, offering no further details.
Nataijah said on the GoFundMe page her brother was “an amazing father, brother, son and friend to everyone he crossed paths with. A true humble, genuine and beautiful soul.
As of Tuesday night, $1,875 of the targeted $30,000 fundraising goal had been raised.
