Pickup driver sought after two children given ride: Toronto cops

Toronto Police are looking for a “suspicious” man who gave a ride to a boy and a girl this week downtown.

On Thursday at 5:40 a.m., cops say a man offered the pair a ride. They did not specify where the duo were picked up.

The man drove them to Queen St. W. and Spadina Ave. but when the boy got out of the pickup truck, cops say the man drove away with the girl.

Police said she “returned home a short time later.” No other information was provided.

Cops did not reveal the age of the boy and girl, why they were out, or where they were headed at that time of day.

The man is described as between 30 and 40 years old with long hair and a beard. He was wearing a brown and green T-shirt.

Police say he was driving a black or dark blue, two-door Chevrolet Silverado. It had a bed cover and passenger side damage. Images of the vehicle have been released.
