Toronto Police inspector charged with impaired driving

High-profile Toronto Police Insp. Chris Boddy has been suspended with pay after being charged with impaired driving.

TPS spokesperson Meghan Gray said on Thursday, Boddy, 52, was arrested on Aug. 29 by York Regional Police in Richmond Hill.

Boddy has served with the Toronto force for 30 years and is currently working with the Wellness Unit.

Boddy has a significant public presence on social media, including 44,000 followers on Twitter.
