Toronto man arrested in slaying of his sister

Toronto Police have arrested a man on second-degree murder charges in the death of his sister.

On Sept. 4 around 6:15 p.m., officers responded to a medical complaint at 18 Stanmills Rd., in the area of The Queensway and Islington Ave., and found a woman without vital signs at the bottom of a set of stairs.

An autopsy determined that the death of Rose Di Pinto, 60, of Toronto, was a murder.

On Wednesday evening, her brother John Di Pinto, 55, of Toronto, was arrested and charged.
