Man’s death in North York shooting probed as murder: Cops

A man who was on life support after being shot outside a North York bar earlier this month has died and police are probing the shooting as a homicide.

Toronto Police responded to a radio call in the area of Keele St. and Finch Ave. W. on Monday, July 5. It was reported that a 47-year-old was involved in a verbal altercation inside a bar.

The man left the bar and was followed by a man who shot him and fled the area, according to police.

The victim was taken to hospital via emergency run and remained in hospital on life support.

On Sunday, July 18, Jason Cockburn, of Toronto, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
