Toronto Police are investigating a drive-by shooting in Scarborough that left one man injured.
The shooting took place on Friday, July 9, just after 4 p.m., in the area of Markham Road and McNicoll Avenue.
Officers arrived along with paramedics who treated a man with non-life-threatening injuries.
He was later transported to a local hospital in stable condition, according to police.
On May 3, a 28-year old man was victim to a “targeted” drive-by shooting in the city’s west end. He sustained injuries to his lower body and leg and was taken to hospital.
A few weeks prior to that, a 14-year old boy — an innocent bystander — was injured during a hail of gunfire just before 6 p.m. in the Islington Avenue and Lakeshore Blvd. West. area.
And on March 17, police investigated a drive-by shooting in the northbound lanes of Hwy. 427, though the driver wasn’t injured.
No details have been released on any suspects in this latest incident in Scarborough, but police are still investigating.
