You can add Elon Musk’s name to the growing number of celebrities who have come out in support of Britney Spears, who is embroiled in an ugly conservatorship battle.

The Tesla and SpaceX CEO tweeted “Free Britney” early Monday with the post quickly going viral.

Musk’s partner Grimes responded to his post by writing “Thanks,” while another fan responded, “What’s happening with her is wrong on so many different levels. She can’t even hire a lawyer & has to rely on a court appointed attorney to defeat a lawyer being paid with huge $$$ that she has earned. It’s baffling. I hope she gets her rights back.

Several other stars also sent their support to Britney, including Mariah Carey, who tweeted: “We love you Britney!!! Stay strong.”

Spears’ ex Justin Timberlake also weighed in, tweeting, “We should all be supporting Britney at this time. Regardless of our past, good and bad, and no matter how long ago it was … what is happening to her is just not right.”

Her sister also voiced her support in an emotional Instagram Live video.

“I don’t care if she wants to run away to the rainforest and have a zillion babies in the middle of nowhere, or if she wants to come back and dominate the world the way she has so many times before … since the day I was born that I’ve only loved, adored and supported my sister.”

For the past 13 years, Spears has lived under a conservatorship overseen by her father Jamie. In court last month, Spears called the arrangement “abusive,” claiming her dad forced her to take birth control and perform against her will.

The conservatorship began 13 years ago after Spears suffered a much-publicized mental health breakdown. After a brief break, she made a comeback, released new albums, went on tour and performed a long-running residency in Las Vegas.

In an impassioned speech to the judge overseeing her case last month, Spears described the conservatorship as abusive and demoralizing.

The Oops!…I Did It Again singer pleaded for the arrangement to be ended without having to undergo more psychological testing.

“I don’t want to be evaluated, to be sat in a room with people four hours a day like they did to me before,” she said. “If I can work and provide money and work for myself and pay other people – it makes no sense.”

Britney then apologized to fans via an Instagram post for “pretending like I’ve been OK the past two years.”

“I did it because of my pride and I was embarrassed to share what happened to me,” she wrote.

Jamie has denied mistreating his daughter under the conservatorship, and has called for an investigation into her allegations, which included forcing her to perform on her 2018 tour against her will, and banning her from marrying her boyfriend Sam Asghari and having children with him.

In a court filing last week, his attorneys said he was “greatly saddened to hear of his daughter’s difficulties and suffering” and “believes there must be an investigation into those claims.”

“I got mixed feelings about everything,” Britney’s mother Lynne told The New Yorker. “I don’t know what to think… It’s a lot of pain, a lot of worry.”
