Police seek info after woman, 21, struck, killed crossing DVP by foot

Officers with Toronto Police’s Traffic Services are looking for information related to a fatality on Saturday night after a young woman was struck and killed while crossing the Don Valley Parkway on foot.

Police received a call at about 10:30 p.m. for a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in the southbound lanes of the DVP near the Gerrard St. bridge.

It’s reported that a 21-year-old was crossing the highway on foot when she was struck by a vehicle travelling southbound in the far right lane. Due to the speed of the vehicle, her injuries were severe and she died as a result of the injuries.
