Bullet found on driver’s seat after gunshot rings out in Brampton

Peel Regional Police are looking for witnesses to a shooting incident that occurred in Brampton on Thursday night.

The victims were watching Canada Day fireworks in a driveway on Blackthorne Rd., near Centre St. N., when they heard sounds of breaking glass between 10:30 p.m. and 10:45 p.m, police said in a statement released Friday.

They then discovered a whole in the windshield of a car and a bullet in the driver’s seat.

Police are asking for anyone who may surveillance video or anyone who may be a witness to come forward.

Police said the shooter fired from a distance and investigators believe it was a targeted incident.
