Girl struck by car in Scarborough: Cops

Toronto Police say a young girl was struck by a car in Scarborough on Wednesday night.

Police responded to a report at about 6:57 p.m. that a girl had been struck by a vehicle in the area of Village Green Sq. and Kennedy Rd.

The girl sustained serious injuries.

Roads in the area were closed for investigation.

In a separate incident earlier Wednesday, police responded to a four-vehicle crash in the area of Lawrence Ave. W. and Bathurst St. with a driver reportedly stuck inside his car.

Police say citizens helped remove the driver, whose injuries were not considered to be life-threatening.
