HUNTER: Sex cult queen Allison Mack hits the end of the line

In a New York courtroom on Wednesday, former Smallville star Allison Mack will finally hit the end of the line.

Next stop? Prison.

Mack, 38, packed with a bad case of the girl-next-door cutes, was the long-time queen bee and second banana in the NXIVM sex cult. She was an active, eager participant in the debauched hijinks that prayed on the wealthy and weak-minded.

At the top of the twisted pyramid was the craven sex guru Keith Raniere, who promised the women who flocked to him enlightenment and empowerment beyond their mortal desires, according to evidence at Raniere’s trial.

With Raniere, the mega-wealthy Clare Bronfman and others, Mack lured in starlets and rich kids, court heard. In one twisted ritual, the sex slaves were branded with Raniere’s initials.

He is now serving a life sentence for sex trafficking and other crimes. Bronfman was jailed for a little less than seven years.

That leaves Mack, who pleaded guilty in April 2019 to racketeering and racketeering conspiracy charges, including extortion and forced labour.

Sources say that Mack flipped to save herself.

Toronto criminal lawyer Monte MacGregor told The Toronto Sun he expects that Mack will be sentenced to less time than Bronfman.

“It will be interesting to see how heavy the judge hits her given the prosecutor’s apparently rare request for leniency,” MacGregor said.

“She assisted the Rainer prosecution and publicly apologized demonstrating how much remorse she had for her actions [unlike Bronfman who got six years and nine months]. ”

The noted lawyer said comparing sentences in Canada and the U.S. really is akin to comparing apples and oranges

“In the George Floyd case, for example, Officer Chauvin received 22 years for what was classified as an unintentional homicide — if that was deemed a manslaughter here, he would likely have only received a six- to eight-year custodial sentence,” MacGregor said.

“So for a notorious case of racketeering [organized crime-related activity with extortion and coercion] centring around human trafficking and sexual manipulation where the victims became slaves in a cult, it’s hard to determine the range.”

We apologize, but this video has failed to load.

He added: “Rainier got 120 years as the leader, Bronfman gets just less than seven for being a key player and manipulator, so likely lower than seven but still enough real time in jail to deter and denounce the conduct.”

As the clock ticks, Mack — among sex Svengali Raniere’s most devoted disciples — appears resigned to the fact she’s going to the slammer.

And she is putting as much distance as she can between herself and anyone connected to NXIVM.

On Monday, Mack wrote in a letter filed in Brooklyn Federal Court: “It is now of paramount importance to me to say, from the bottom of my heart, I am so sorry I threw myself into the teachings of Keith Raniere with everything I had.”

The whole affair was, in the words of the former sex kitten, “the biggest mistake and greatest regret of my life”.

She added: “I am sorry to those of you that I brought into NXIVM. I am sorry I ever exposed you to the nefarious and emotionally abusive schemes of a twisted man.”

But she certainly had a blast when things were swinging.

Before she got caught. Before she realized Keith Raniere was a low-rent charlatan

Before her image was pulverized into so much tawdry dust.
