Actress Allison Mack has apologized for her role in convicted Keith Raniere’s NXIVM sex cult, calling it the greatest regret of her life.

The former Smallville star apologized to those “who have been harmed by my actions” in a letter filed in Brooklyn Federal Court ahead of her sentencing this week.

Calling her devotion to Raniere “the biggest mistake and greatest regret of my life,” Mack wrote: “I am sorry to those of you that I brought into NXIVM. I am sorry I ever exposed you to the nefarious and emotionally abusive schemes of a twisted man.”

Mack, who became a high-ranking member of the sex cult, has been applauded by prosecutors for giving them a tape of the NXIVM leader talking about branding members.

That helped them bring charges against Raniere, who has been convicted of branding women like animals with his initials and blackmailing them into having sex with him.

She has been confined at home while awaiting sentencing, which was delayed for months due to COVID restrictions.

“This period of isolation has been the most devastating, but transformative time of my life,” she wrote in the letter, which was filed on Friday. “(It provided me with the) strength I needed to confront the darkest parts of myself and come to terms with the pain my actions have inflicted on so many people I love.

“It is now of paramount importance to me to say, from the bottom of my heart, I am so sorry… I threw myself into the teachings of Keith Rainire (sic) with everything I had.”

Mack also apologized to the friends and family members who “fought hard to show me the truth about NXIVM and Keith,” adding: “I pushed you away and silenced myself toward you when you were trying to save my life… I lied to you, again and again, in order to protect the delusion I was so deeply committed to believing.

“The list of those harmed by the collateral damage of my destructive choices continues to grow as I become more and more aware of how my choices have affected those around me. I am grateful that I have made it through this process alive and that I was stopped when I was.”

Keith Raniere was sentenced to serve 120 years behind bars for running the cult in October.

He was charged with seven felony counts, including sex trafficking, child pornography, and racketeering.
