Second man arrested in Alberta for 2020 Brampton murder

An additional arrest has been made in a murder that occurred in Brampton a year ago.

Peel Regional Police say Sangita Sharma, a 56-year-old woman, was found suffering from a gunshot wound at a home on Treeline Blvd. on Aug. 13, 2020.

After an investigation, on Friday, police charged Fiseha Girmay Habtegabir, 19, of London, Ont., on June 4.

A second suspect was located Wednesday in Fort McMurray, AB., and taken into custody.

Malik Essue, 23, of London, Ont., is charged with first-degree murder and is being returned to Peel Region to answer to the charge.
