York Regional Police say officers are waiting on the results of autopsies to determine whether foul play was involved in the deaths of a man and a woman in Richmond Hill.
Autopsies will be performed Tuesday on the bodies found inside a Richmond Hill home early Sunday evening.
Officers found the remains of a man and woman after being called to a residence on Emmanuel Dr. — in the Bayview-16th Aves. area — around 5:45 p.m. Sunday.
“We will be waiting on the results of the post-mortem to determine whether both are not suspicious or if one is a homicide,” Const. Laura Nicolle said Monday.
“It’s a bit early to say for sure until that exam is done by the coroner. We know we’re not looking any additional suspects.”
Police have not released the identities of the dead people.
