Mississauga death probed by homicide investigators

Homicide investigators are asking for the public’s help in investigating the death of a man in Mississauga last weekend.

Peel Regional Police say on Saturday, June 12, at about 6:10 a.m., they received a call for a man lying on the ground in the greenspace at Derry Greenway Park, located at 3132 Derry Rd.

Upon arrival, police located a 27-year-old with no vital signs. The man was pronounced dead at 6:24 a.m.

The man has been identified as Simranjeet Singh Sidhu, of no fixed address.

According to police, he frequented the Malton area.

Homicide investigators would like to speak to anyone who had contact with Sidhu or who saw him between June 10 and June 12.
