Two men have been charged with second degree murder in a June 13 fatal stabbing in Wasaga Beach.
Just after 12:30 a.m., Huronia West OPP, along with County of Simcoe Paramedic Services and the Wasaga Beach Fire Department, found a man suffering from life-threatening injuries at Beach Area 1 on Beach Drive.
Despite life-saving efforts, the male died at the scene and two adult males found nearby were arrested.
The Huronia West detachment of the OPP has charged a 21-year-old male from Etobicoke and a 25-year-old male from Brampton in relation to the death of Mustafa Khaleel, 23, of Mississauga.
The names of the accused are being withheld to protect the integrity of the investigation.
“That’s what the investigators have decided at this point,” OPP central Region media coordinator Gosia Puzio said Monday.
“The investigation is still continuing. There will be more details forthcoming.”
The accused made their first appearance before the Ontario Court of Justice on June 14 and has been remanded.
Anyone who may have been in Beach Area 1 around midnight between June 12-13, or who may have information, to contact the Huronia West OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or leave an anonymous tip via Crime Stoppers.
