Two teens charged with assault in Beaverton

Police say the victim was pushed off his bicycle before being tossed off a pier

Durham Regional Police have charged two teenage boys in the assault of another teen in Beaverton, Ont.

On Tuesday, June 8, around 7:30 p.m., officers were called to a Beaverton home after receiving reports of a young male being assaulted and thrown from a pier.

According to Durham police, videos on social media showed one suspect pushing the victim off his bike before assaulting him.

The suspect continued the attack when the second suspect stepped in to help throw the 14-year-old over a pier.

The victim suffered minor injuries.

Investigators have charged the two young males, ages 15 and 16, with assault. They were both released on an Undertaking.
