FAMILY FEUD: Relative claims Meghan thinks she’s too good for them

Unnamed source says Markle family members have no interest in reconciling with the Duchess

Another branch of the Markle family tree has fallen off and come out of the woodwork to disparage Meghan.

According to an unnamed relative, the Duchess’ high opinion of herself has left her relatives with no interest in reconciling.

By moving to California, Meghan and Prince Harry are closer than ever to members of Markle’s family – geographically speaking. But that doesn’t mean Meghan wants anything to do with them.

Apparently, the feeling’s mutual.

The Markle relative laughed at the idea of a potential play date between kids in the family and Harry and Meghan’s children, Archie and Lili.

“Yeah, right after I set up a play date with Oprah Winfrey’s family, too?” the family source scoffed to Fox News. “We’re clearly in different social classes and we won’t ever talk again.”

The anonymous family member spoke about the family rift, particularly Meghan’s estrangement from her father, Thomas Markle, pointing out Meghan made her choice and now she has to live with it.

“Real quality family is what’s important to me,” the relative said. “You shouldn’t have to be someone you’re not, or a certain class to be accepted and loved.”

The family insider added neither they nor anyone on the Markle side has plans to call a truce for a potential reunion.

“I’m not chasing after someone that doesn’t want to talk to me,” said the source. “I have my own family and we couldn’t be happier sharing the love that we have. So in other words, I couldn’t care less.”

The relative wasn’t totally bitter, however. In the wake of the couple welcoming baby Lili last week, congratulations were offered.

“I’m happy for them,” the relative said. “Starting a family is the most rewarding thing and I wish them the best.”

We apologize, but this video has failed to load.

For the last few years, Markle’s relationship with her father’s side of the family has been tenuous, at best. Meghan’s relationship with Thomas has suffered in recent years, coming to an apparent end right before the Royal Wedding, which Thomas didn’t attend.

Meghan’s half-sister, Samantha Markle, has never been shy when it comes to voicing her feelings about Meghan, while her half-brother, Thomas Jr., has also chimed in every now and again.

Add in the tension with the Royal Family and it sometimes feels like it’s Harry and Meghan against the world.
